In March, one of our Vale students who attends Belmont Junior School, took a week-long trip to beautiful Aberdovey in Wale for an Outward Bound course. Although it rained almost constantly, apart from the day the children arrived, everyone had a wonderful time. The children were challenged by a variety of different activites. The instructors at Aberdovey put in an enormous effort to make the course accessible for our Vale student and we are really grateful for all the planning and preparation that went into this.
As well as what felt like an enormous abseil, the children had a campfire, climbed the Jacob’s Ladder, went sea kayaking and had a cook out in the forest. At the end of the week we were all tired but happy and very proud of our new achievements.
